Abstract
We measured the quasi-elastic scattering excitation function for the 32S + 110Pd system at a backward angle and at energies around the Coulomb barrier. A fine enough energy step was adopted in order to obtain a representation of the barrier distribution through the first differentiation of the data. Our results were compared with the barrier distribution that was deduced from fusion data for the same system.
