Electric Pulsed Induced Changes in Oxides - EPICO-2012
... a small Meeting devoted to Resistive Switching and related Memory Effects in Oxides
Bs.As., 12-14 Dec 2012
Group Photo | Thu, January 24, 2013 - 8:11am

Scope of the Meeting

Resistive electronic memories (ReRAM) are seen today as one of the most promising emerging candidates to become a key memory technology of the future, with many potential applications in conventional electronics. Besides this, however, its multifunctional capabilities emerging from the use of transition metal oxides are only beginning to be actively explored.
The aim of EPICO-2012 is to have a small-size meeting with an atmosphere that promotes scientific exchanges. It will take place during the second week of December 2012. Key scientists working on ReRAM along with researches from neouromorphic applications of resistive switching and multifunctional properties of oxides will be invited. We wil focus on the discussion of the yet not fully ellucidaded mechanism behind the resistive switching effect, and into the promising applications that exploit its neuromorphic behavior, such as artificial intelligence electronic devices.
EPICO-2012 follows our very initial FCM-satellite meeting EPICO-2008, when we had the great opportunity to introduce the argentinian team working in this subject to Ahikito Sawa (CERC, AIST, Tsukuba, Japan), Manuel Bibes (CNRS-Thales, Paris, France), Isao H. Inoue (CERC, AIST, Tsukuba, Japan), and Neil Mathur (MSD - University of Cambridge, UK). Nowadays, the satellite evolved into a small conference...! And we want to share our enthusiasm with colleagues working in the field.
